Outages and Upgrades

There's been a couple of outages over the last few days, both related to our database server locking up. I swear, as soon as I buy new hardware the existing servers start sulking and misbehaving. It happens every time!
This afternoon I'll be near the datacentre for other reasons, so I'll drop in and take a quick look at the servers as it's been a while. If I have time I should be able to upgrade the memory in one or both existing servers, and if I'm really lucky I might be able to swap bourbon in to replace beer. We'll see.
Anyway, the whole point of this post is: there may be some periods of OCAU unavailability today (Tuesday). Don't panic, it's just me fiddling with things. :) I tend to add information about outages (when I'm aware of them) to the OCAU Status Blog, so it's worth bookmarking that page.
