Mike over at Somebody Think of the Children has posted an update on the Australian Government's "clean feed" filter initiative. This is as close we have come to confirming early information that no Australian will be able to completely opt-out of the Government's clean feed.

Bit-tech have published the September entries for their Mod of the Month contest. This month's competition has a little bit of everything, from crazy wooden curves to an IKEA table - so there's a little something for everyone!

Sol Trujillo is claiming that the transformation of Telstra from a telephone company in dramatic decline into a media communications company can be attributed to his arrival in 2005. AnandTech tested the 2.1 firmware update for the iPhone 3G to see if there was any improvement in its battery life. The 2.0 and later firmwares apparently fixed many of the source issues behind these problems, and the most recent firmware update (2.1) supposedly increased battery life. I just happened to apply that update before heading out of the house for the entirety of the day and most of the evening, so I got a reasonable chance to try it out.
