Apple users will be dissapointed to see that prices of the new Macbook line-up are more expensive to purchase here than what they can be imported for from the US. So what is the reason for the higher price tag? Reports say that Apple has done this in order to maintain profit in case the Australian dollar plunges even further.

Google's first Android phone, the T-Mobile G1, will have a feature which will allow them to remotely delete software deemed to be malicious. "While we encourage that community aspect, we are also very careful with the safety and security of the user. In limited cases where an application has a malicious intent, we will remove it from the Market and potentially uninstall it from user devices to ensure the safety of the Android Market community."

Apparently outer space smells like fried steak and the welding of a motorbike. GPU maker NVIDIA has finally responded to questions about their GPU and chipset problems. Once Nvidia was done addressing McLellan's accusations, the company answered our questions about potential desktop GPU issues, the failing Nvidia-powered HP desktops we heard about earlier this week, and whether the GeForce 9400M chipset in Apple's new MacBooks could also face problems.

Motherboards.org look at three motherboards with a GeForce 9300 chipset. The GeForce 9300 chipset is 20% faster than the Intel G45 chipset across the board. By this performance metric, it is likely that the faster 9400 boards will outstrip the G45 chipset by 35% or more across the board. This is a very impressive feat for an integrated graphics card to say the least.
