A 15 year old student in the United States is facing felony charges for breaking into his school's computer network and then calling the school principal, warning him about the security hole.

Australian systems administrators' professional group is upset with the Federal Communications Minister Stephen Conroy for alleged attempts by his office to silence a vocal network engineer expressing an opinion about the planned government internet filtering scheme. Internode network engineer Mark Newton has publicly criticised the government's mandatory ISP filtering plans on the grounds that ISPs would face major network redesigns to meet requirements, increased costs and security threats to Australian internet users.

A report on Cnet.com says that Sony’s new PSP-3000 which comes equipped with a new screen is in fact worse than its predecessor. The new screen is supposed to help reduce the glare, produce better colours and reduce pixel ghosting, however, some users are reporting that the new screen has introduced artifacts in the form of visible scanlines and jaggies. According to Sony this appears to be a hardware fault and there are no plans for a quick fix via a software updates; Since this phenomenon is caused by hardware characteristics, there is no plan to fix it with a system software update.

A 42 year old Chris Read from UK is facing a court battle after leaving negative feedback on eBay for a mobile phone he bought on the auction site. Mr Jones (seller) claims the unfavourable comments have damaged his business. The legal missive goes on to warn Mr Read that if he fails to retract his comments he will be dragged to court where he faces costs, lawyers' fees and damages .

"I think it's good for people to miss things," said Todd Howard, executive producer of the game. "Ten years between 'Fallout' is a bit long, but I think there's this nostalgia factor. Fans of the post-Apocalyptic game, set in Washington, D.C., won't have to wait another decade for "Fallout 4." Howard said he believes three years is a good time frame between games.

Flagship Studios' ill-fated massively multiplayer online game, Hellgate: London will have the servers brought offline as of February 1, 2009. The writing has been on the wall for some time, and now it's official: Hellgate: London will be taken offline as of February 1, 2009.
