There's an article here about the recent Moon impact mission that had people expecting, well, a bigger boom. Instead there was disappointment for millions as live pictures relayed back from the Moon showed no sign of an impact. Now, however, Nasa has released a photograph showing the flash of light as its massive Centaur rocket struck the lunar surface.

Dyson, of trendy vacuum cleaner fame, have turned their attention to desk/room fans, with typically unconventional results. Opinions are divided. Unfortunately, the downside of the Dyson method is that you can't make Darth Vader voices through the backside of the fan, and the whole assembly is closer in noise pollution to that of an actual vacuum cleaner than a regular table fan.

SilentPCReview checked out some 5900rpm HDDs from Seagate. Seagate's Barracuda LP and Pipeline HD .2 series hard drives sport 500GB platters and a rotational speed of 5900rpm, giving them a slight edge in performance over Western Digital Caviar Green and Samsung EcoGreen lines: Is there a cost?

MS have issued a further statement on the Sidekick data loss issue. T-Mobile and Microsoft-Danger continue to do all we can to recover and return customers' lost personal content. Recent efforts indicate that recovering some lost content may now be possible. Meanwhile Apple have acknowledged the Snow Leopard data loss issue.

Wayne spotted this irritatingly simple timewaster, Boomshine. I got stuck and gave up on level 11.. twice.
