The ACCC have taken MSY to court over warranty concerns. The allegations relate to statutory warranty rights - the implied rights that protect all your tech purchases, for example that the good must be fit for their purpose. These are different to the manufacturers or extended warranties, and you might be surprised by the level of coverage in theory that they provide.

The iPhone daylight savings bug has hit Europe now, causing the same problems we experienced a couple of weeks ago, and are still having. Owners of the super-sweet chain have denied the downturn has been caused by increasingly health-conscious customers, instead pointing to a number of ailing outlets affected by high rents and high distribution costs. The most significant upgrade to Blekko's search engine is the addition of slashtags that auto-fire for queries that fall into one seven categories: health, colleges, autos, personal finance, lyrics, recipes and hotels.

Also from the ACCC, a potential hit to Telstra's hip pocket. Telstra claimed the total valuation of its copper access network (CAN) and inter-exchange backhaul network currently stood at $31.9 billion, while the watchdog proposed the same assets were valued at $13.3 billion, leading to the shortfall.

PayPal had a big developer conference in San Francisco recently, and a competitor took a stab at their history of freezing accounts: a massive, 600 pound block of ice with hundreds of dollars locked beneath the surface..
