A couple of people sent word that IE users are dumb, officially. In an online IQ test of 100,000 people, AptiQuant Psychometric Consulting found that users of alternate browsers were likely to have a higher IQ than Internet Explorer users. "It comes out pretty clear that Internet Explorer users scored lower than average on the IQ tests," said AptiQuant.

Foxconn is looking at replacing workers with robots. The founder and chairman of Foxconn Company Terry Gou says he wants to reduce the rising labour costs and improve efficiency at the same time by replacing workers with robots that can perform tasks such as spraying, welding and assembling. He says Foxconn will boost its robotic workforce from 10,000 to 300,000 next year before reaching 1 million by 2014.

Apple has won a court injunction to stop the Samsung Galaxy entering Australia until a patent dispute is resolved. Samsung, based in Suwon, South Korea, agreed to stop advertising the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia and not to sell the device until it wins court approval or the lawsuit is resolved, according to an accord reached by lawyers during a break in the hearing.
