Interesting stuff here on K-Hardware.de. It's in german, but basically it's about a few Gigabyte boards due mid-October that support P4's at 667MHz FSB. That's 166x4, as opposed to the 133x4 we're currently used to. It certainly explains the name of the SiS648-based GA-8SG667 I bought the other day for a testbed. Not heard anything from Intel about the new FSB, though, so we'll see. Could it be that just as AMD announce their much-anticipated 333MHz FSB (supposedly due October 1st, that's this coming Tuesday) .. Intel will raise the bar once again?

Some quite big news, RC5 has been solved. From Moldy: I wanted to say Congratulations to our team for kicking us to Number 150, out of the thousands of teams. Considering how long our team has been cracking, we've done extremely well. Guess we all have to start folding or something.

ROTFLER send word of some new ATI drivers that fix problems in certain games.. AusGamers have mirrored them here (win2k/XP) and here (winMe/9x).

Kazza is apparently taunting the record companies, thanks Tekka.

BlargOC have been overclocking their P4 2.66GHz CPU "to the max", or so they say. 3.41GHz aircooled.. nice.

Jedi and Klingons have invaded the Shorter Oxford dictionary.. thanks Huron.

From lordCONAN, regarding the recent cancellation of Australian Sci-Fi program Farscape: As part of a world wide movement, Australian fans of the Farscape show are holding a rally in Sydney on Saturday Oct 5th. Information can be found here.
