Ok, the new server is 99% set up. Just need to get it on the network and do some testing before moving the domain over.
In case you're wondering, it's:
2x C366 @ 550MHz (this site will be served from an overclocked box, how cool. :) ) These CPU's are the best of 60 or so that went through my hands - 100% stable, sanded to full copper with FEP-32's on them. They've both done 682 with monster cooling so 550 is nothing for them. Abit BP6 motherboard 256MB PC100 RAM Adaptec 2940UW PCI UW-SCSI2 card 2x IBM 9.1GB UW-SCSI2 7200rpm drives (one dedicated to web-page storage, so separate spindles for system/logging and web data) DDS-3 (12GB native) SCSI DAT tape drive
Debian Linux Apache webserver ..etc. This machine is a kick-ass linux box and massively over-engineered for what we need right now.. which is good.
Might do a proper article on it.. probably not, maybe just a summary page, "server info" or something. Hmm.
