Big news day today....

Silicon Angel is organising a group purchase of Ratpadz and brass thumb screws for Australian readers (I guess New Zealanders too). Check this thread in the forums for more info.

Gideontech have a review of an AMR modem - the first review of one of these devices that I have seen. Is that AMR slot as useless as you think?

ipKonfig.com have reported that Big Blue is no longer the world's most powerful supercomputer - IBM wish us all to say hello to "ASCI White", which is capable of 12.28 Teraflops a sec (if you know just how fast that is, you'll be impressed. If you don't know, rest assured it's FAST!

Just when you thought that Slot-A Athlons were a dying breed, along with accessories for them, Tweaktown have a new GFD on the market - the "Tweeking Device 2" - doesn't use external power, they claim it's the world's smallest GFD device - details here.

There's an Abit KT7 review up at I am Not a Geek Dot Com

Hexus.com took a 700MHz Duron and a Chrome Orb, and got 1GHz.

Dan's Data has a review of a 17" Samsung monitor - a good one at that. Check it out here.

Firingsquad (no silly names from me - yet) have hooked up 8 different video cards to a 1GHz Duron (overclocked from 700MHz) to find the best bang-for-your-buck video card. Check the article out here.
