Hardware Secrets has posted an article on their tour through the ECS factory.

Figures released by the international recording industry suggest the number of legal downloads has tripled to 180m worldwide in the first half of 2005. Full article on BBC.

One of the benchmarking team members at Hardware Asylum has broken the AMD PiFast world record. This was obtained with an AMD FX-57 dry ice cooled running at 3666MHz. This is the highest PiFast score on an AMD based system to date.

Apparently the official name for the Longhorn OS from MS will be Windows Vista! More to read here.

Consumer Affairs Victoria has warned ISPs that using the word "unlimited" to describe broadband plans that slow to dialup speeds is unacceptable. About time. Thanks Bern. =)
