Tomcat Officially Retires Today (17 Comments) (link)

We reported back in July that the Grumman F-14 Tomcat had flown its last carrier mission in the US Navy. Well, reax sent word that today it has been officially retired, with the final official flight being to a museum. After today's ceremony, the Navy will mothball some F-14s in the Arizona desert and ship others to aviation museums.
