Sciby spotted some overclocking comics here and here. Not sure what the RSPCA would say about that last one.

HardOCP discovered that you don't need a PSU providing 45A on the 5V line for the new AMD CPU's.. phew!

Alright, virus maker goes to jail, thanks MojoMan. Still, it seems like he would have gotten less severe punishment for beating up an old lady. 20 months is a long time.. I hope the makers of the Klez virus doing the rounds at the moment are quivering in their boots. Go do something productive with your 5k1LLz.

TheReg have more info about Microsoft trying to force you to use windows, even if you don't want to.. make it fairly tricky to buy PCs without Windows on them because they 'fuel piracy,' and we're tottering on the brink of the age of compulsory Windows.

Stapla has info on some recent "generic" domain auctions conducted in Australia: computers.com.au sold today for $50,030.00 and computing.com.au today sold for $2500 to an anonymous bidder.

PCRivals have an article about quantum computing.

Ben notes that Linux for PS2 will be released in Oz at the end of May, but it'll cost $499.95.

In the future, components going bang might be a deliberate thing.

Apparently the Opteron name that AMD chose for their server-class Sledgehammer chips has some detractors, but judging by these comments allegedly made by AMD people and reproduced in a DesignTechnica forum thread, they don't care much. :)

Adam notes you can get the first season of Transformers on DVD now.

A heap of people sent this one in, there's some information about OCZ, an American PC parts vendor, in a Madonion.com forum thread which alleges they are not all they claim to be. Update: seems to have been deleted.

KaZaa users have less than a month to decide if they want their PC to be hijacked, thanks Klif-e.

There's a LAN on in Rockhampton, Central QLD this weekend, thanks Cheebs. Panadol says there's one in Toowoomba on May 11th.

TweakTown have a 3-way i845 shootout, being DDR P4 motherboards of course.

Hexus have been going crazy over the last few days, posting (deep breath) reviews of the Coolermaster ATCS 200 Version 2 case, DFI NB70-SC i845D-based P4 DDR motherboard, Intel Pentium 4 1.8GHz Northwood CPU, Abit's IT7, i845E-based "legacy-free" P4 motherboard and an article about the AMD 760MPX Chipset.

Tweakers have a Top 50 websites thing.. I imagine we should be able to blitz our way to the top quickly enough, click here (then on the button that appears) to vote for OCAU, thanks Mr Grimm.

Oh alright, one final Collapse score, from Peter: Understand you don't need any more updates on scores but my wife has been hooked on this game (hey, she's pregnant & has nothing better to do) checked the game's website & the highest score was 9.3 mill at level 27. Kinda makes those other scores pale into insignificance...
