Uniden uh-011 scan mod

The following will detail how to add scan functionality to the Uniden CB radio UH-011, or any Uniden CB radio with a CPU of type UC1368A.
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for any damages caused whatsoever. Proceed at your own risk.
The Uniden UH-011 doesn't have a scan function available on the front panel, however the CPU does have this function inbuilt. By grounding pin 7, the unit will scan for as long as the pin is grounded.
Following are the schematics for the UH-011. I have yet to find a schematic for the face plate. If anyone can assist, it would be much appreciated. :)
Fortunately, there are a few buttons on the front panel that are unused, unless the optional SELCALL feature is installed. These buttons are T.CALL and T.SQ.
T.CALL is a momentary push-button and T.SQ is an on/off style, perfect for our needs. Press the button to scan, press it again to stop. All that is needed to activate the scan function is a jumper wire from the T.SQ switch to the CPU.
The jumper wire attaches to the unused solder pad to the right of the switch, adjacent to the top row of pins. when the switch is pressed, the circuit will be completed to ground, which is already connected to the centre pin on the PCB.
Now solder the other end of the wire to pin 7 on the CPU, reassemble and test.
There are 2 scan modes available, controlled by pin 5 on the CPU. These are group scan and open scan. When pin 5 is held low, open scan is enabled When pin 5 is held high, group scan is enabled.
With the replacement of the T'CALL button with an on/off style switch, it shouldn't be too hard to wire this function in. (I have yet to complete this mod).
There is also a memory channel. I assume it is grounded to activate or deactivate a memory channel. This is achieved using pin 3 on the CPU. I have not experimented with this function, and unfortunately have no further information.
