Disconnecting the IDE ribbon cable from the top IDE drive and pulling it back reveals my CPU card. My Amiga 4000 originally came with a motherboard mounted 68030 processor. My CPU card provided a full 68060 at 50MHz - a beast, but ran cool enough to not need a heat sink (that said, it could get reasonably warm, but not enough to burn fingers). I forget which brand of CPU board I got, but it's not the CyberStorm. On the right you can see my 64MB of expansion RAM. The CPU board provided much faster access to this RAM than the motherboard's own slots. I remember paying an absolute fortune to be king of my street with 64MB RAM... There was no way I'd ever use it all... With regards to the HDD on the left of shot, the top one was an second 40GB expansion drive storing the OS and my primary "Work:" partition. I kept the original 120MB HDD underneath as additional storage and also because it has an Apple Mac partition on it that I used to use with an Emplant Zorro III emulator card to run Mac OS. From memory it ran version 6 or 8.
