[edit] Speed Cameras in Western Australia
The radar bands used in WA are as follows:
- K Band (24.050GHz to 24.250GHz)
- Ka Band (33.400GHz to 36.000GHz)
The WA Police use the following devices to measure speed
- Handheld Falcon radar gun manufactured by Kustom Signals Inc and operates on the K Band at 24.150GHz.
- Dashboard mounted radar KR10-SP manufactured by Kustom Signals Inc setup in police cars, which can be used in the following modes stationary/moving mode and instant/constant on.
- Dashboard mounted Golden Eagle by Kustom Signals Inc, which is a newer version of the above which still has similar functionality.
- LTI 20-20 Marksman Handheld laser (LIDAR).
- LTI 20-20 Ultralyte Handheld laser (LIDAR), a newer version of the above.
- LTI Ultralyte compact Handheld laser (LIDAR), the latest version.
- Multinova 6F Speed Camera. Operates at 34.3GHz (Ka Band).
