The Overclockers Australia Forums are one of the busiest forums in Australia, covering a growing range of topics.

Each forum area has a "supervisor" whose job is to keep the forum area relevant to each of its readers, without being too offensive, personally nor legally.

You will see that most forum users have a pen-name, because they do not want to disclose too many personal details, or it may allow more freedom that they could not otherwise show.

There are many "conventions" in computer forums. Spelling could be any type of English, including SMS (mobile phone) English, or common computer jargon, known very little outside computer geek circles. Ask or google if you do not understand these strange things.

Most forum users seem very shy about disclosing their ages, state or other personal details. You may in fact be reading the words of someone extremely experienced, or a primary-school kid. It is hard to tell most times. However, despite the "bad manners" that sometimes appear, most OCAU users are respectible and reasonable. The real troublemakers eventually are not seen in OCAU.

A detailed list of the forum rules that OCAU members abide by can be found here.
