What is your OCAU username & Folding name?

OCAU username is OhFoRkMe and I currently fold as MCR-AU Previously folded as OhFoRkMe

What is the meaning or significance of your OCAU username, if any?

No particular significance though it was based on my gaming name when I first started playing Online/LAN games as a kid. As I grew older and ever so slightly more mature, it has evolved. Currently I usually sign off with forkus but OhFoRkMe was the previous evolution.

Which month and year did you win Iron Folder?

Feburary 2012 if my CMOS battery is holding charge.

How many F@H points do you have?

As I type this, 17.3 Million points.

How many boxen do you have? Break this number down between borgs and your personal machines.

Personal Machines - 0 Borgs/Work Machines - Anywhere between 30 & 45 active clients.

When did you start folding for Team 24?

Originally started folding with OhFoRkMe around early 2006. Cannot seem to check on the F@H Stats page. Had to stop a year or so after due to costs and also moving jobs. Started again late 2011 as I had an oppurtunity (and permission) to use some work machines.

What is your average F@H points per month?

Hard to tell at this stage, but looks around the 4Mil mark at the moment with the current projects and not too much attention from myself.

Any other DC projects?

None at this stage. Have not found any lately that have such a awesome community and good cause that grabbed my attention.

As far as I know, due to the nature of my folding (all at work) it does not affect her much. She knows its for a good cause and appreciates that I enjoy it.

Congratulations on being chosen the Iron Folder for the month. How does it feel to be chosen by your peers for such a prestigious award?

Acknowledged :) After a few nominations, I finally got here!

Why do you think you were chosen?

Hopefully for my Community participation and consistent PPD.

Why do you participate in Folding?

The Team 24 Community and hopefully help some day find a cure for diseases have taken at least 2 family members of mine.

If Folding could find a cure for just one disease tomorrow, which one would it be and why?

Cancer and all its different forms. Then hopefully this break through would give the scientists something to work with and figure out the rest in a shorter time.

What would you like Team 24, to know about you, that might surprise them?

I don't think there is anything that I would like Team 24 to know about me that would be surprising. I am usually quite an open person so anything I came up with would probably be quite boring.

Where do you see your folding activities in the next year or two?

Hopefully more clients and PPD. Will be interesting to see if there is any major changes to points around the SMP client as that is all I use. At some point I need to setup myself a lab for home to practice installing different enironments so hopefully that might run a client or clients.

Have you been successful borging? If so, what kind of borging worked for you? (For example, friends, family, and/or work?)

I have been super successful with my borging. After getting the Ok for installing some SMP clients at work, I got borging straight away!

Any ideas on improving the DC subforum, or suggestions or improvements for our Team?

Just more chatter. Everyone knows its getting more and more difficult to fold due to costs and heat but more chatting about different topics helps gets people involved. I know I originally started after joining in on a few threads.

What challenges have you faced in your F@H efforts?

SMP client behaving oddly. Sometimes it will start but not actually do anything and I have to wait for that user to login in the next day to see if it starts again.

How much do you spend on F@H? If you consider equipment, electricity, and other activities that support F@H... how much of your life has DC’ing consumed?

I spend very little myself but am thankful that work is happy to have the client installed on some machines. DC'ing has consumed quite a few days of solid dedication during the years, especially when I first getting into F@H and the GPU clients.

Do you have friends, family, or neighbors that know about your F@H activities? What do they think?

Only my work colleagues and they are happy that it works towards something worthwhile.

Do you game? If so, how long and what types do you prefer? Consoles or PC?

I like to Game primarily on PC. The Playstation gets a turn if I feel like playing a racing game like GT5 or some Final Fantasy action.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Nope I think that pretty much covers it all!
