Athlon XP

From OCAU Wiki

Palomino

  • .18 micron
  • 266MHz FSB
  • CPUs range from 1500+ (1.33GHz) to the 2100+ (1.73GHz)
  • 256K L2 cache
  • Socket A (462)

Thoroughbred

  • .13 micron
  • 266-333MHz FSB
  • CPU speeds range from 1500+ (1.33GHz) to 2800+ (2.25GHz)
  • 256k L2 cache
  • Socket A (462)

Barton

  • .13 micron
  • 333-400MHz FSB
  • CPU speeds range from 2500+ (1.83GHz) to 3200+ (2.2GHz)
  • 512k L2 cache
  • Socket A (462)

The upgrade path for this chip is pretty much dead with AMD having ceased production of Socket A chips in late 2005. The higher end Athlon XPs, particularly the 3200+, fetch a premium on eBay.
