Bootloader

A bootloader is a program that loads the Operating System into memory gives control over to the Operating System. Bootloaders can be used to manage different Operating System installations on the one computer, by allowing the user to select which Operating System to boot from. These systems are sometimes called 'Dual Boot' systems.
