Q. I don't have a wireless router, is there any way to connect the Wii to the internet?

A. You can purchase the Nintendo Wireless USB Adapter. You can connect this to your PC to allow your Wii access to the internet.

Q. Will the DS work with the Wii?

A. There is a pokemon game that allows the DS to act as a control device for your pokemon, but thats about it at the moment.

Q. When performing a system update will I lose my saved games?

A. The system updates currently available do not format your Wii's internal momory.

Q. Do I have to update my Wii before I start playing?

A. No, just like older consoles, the Wii will function fine independently of an internet connection. Connecting to the internet provides access to system updates and the Wii Shop channel, ie Virtual Console.

Q. Will my old Gamecube controllers and games work with the Wii?

A. Yes, GC games, memory cards and GC controllers - both normal and Wavebird type - are supported by the Wii.

Q. Do I need a Gamecube Memory Card to save my progress when playing Gamecube games on the Wii?

A. Currently, it apprears that you can only save GC games to GC Memory Cards, not the Wii's system memory or an SD card.
