Ubuntu is a Linux distribution created on the ideals of community life, (ubuntu is the african word for community) and is sub-distribution of Debian linux, its main features are the gradual learning curve for new users, the relatively quick release cycle and its community support and forums.
Debian Linux is a distribution widely known for its robustness, stability and excellent packaging and repository system named dpkg and apt.
