Apple revealed their new iPad last night, and as far as I can tell, it's not called the iPad 3, iPad 2S or iPad HD - but simply "the new iPad". More here, discussion here.
Shaun spotted people queuing up for the WOW closing down sale, and then mostly just leaving again. Many complained of most items being discounted for only 10% or even 5%. 'It doesn't feel like a closing down sale at all. You can go to Big W and get it for the same price," one woman said.
Anonymous/LulzSec arrests continue, and now the story is that their leader has apparently betrayed them to the FBI. I thought the whole point of Anonymous was that it didn't have a leader. Law enforcement agents on two continents swooped in on top members of the infamous computer hacking group LulzSec early this morning, and acting largely on evidence gathered by the organization’s brazen leader -- who sources say has been secretly working for the government for months -- arrested three and charged two more with conspiracy.

The X79 chipset looks to pick up the X58’s poll position, so we decided to bench test a few motherboards from ASRock, ASUS, and Gigabyte to see how Intel's new flagship performs.
The Government has made an iOS game to help people prepare for natural disasters. ‘Before the Storm’, a free, iPhone game that helps students and families better prepare for natural disasters, is now available at Apple-iTunes. Attorney-General and Minister for Emergency Management Nicola Roxon joined local Federal Member for Latrobe Laura Smyth in launching the game with students from Harkaway Primary School today. “Big storms can be frightening for kids but learning what to do when a natural disaster strikes will be as easy as pulling out your iPhone and playing ‘Before the Storm’,” Ms Roxon said.
