KonMan let us know about an ACT Magistrates Court ruling that a man who used an iPhone application to track down his stolen iPad was not breaking the law. When a man identified in court as Mr S had an iPad stolen from his home, he used the tracking application to locate it. The man managed to activate the iPad and hear a ring tone inside the garage of the home. Mr S went to the police, who searched the property and found numerous stolen goods.

Things aren't getting any easier for HP. The company has announced more job cuts. In a regulatory filing, the Palo Alto tech company revealed it now plans to cut 29,000 jobs by October 2014, according to a report by the Associated Press. Previously, the company had said it planned to cut 27,000. The additional job cuts come a month after HP suffered the largest loss in its 73-year history.

Intel have released a surprising revenue warning as the company's business is not holding up as initially expected. The company has cut its forecast by $1.1 billion to a mid-point of $13.2 billion for the third quarter. Intel said that the cut is due to its customers "reducing inventory in the supply chain versus the normal growth in third-quarter inventory."

The Space Shuttle Endeavour is soon to take its last flight.. on the back of a 747 to its final resting place. Taking to the skies atop a modified Boeing 747, the shuttle will make pit stops in Texas and at Edwards Air Force Base in the Golden State before touching down at Los Angeles International Airport on the 20th.
