Gox as the exchange is the world’s largest. Many believe those behind the DDoS attacks are performing them to drop the digital currency’s valuation so they can buy low and sell high, before doing it all over again.
Drew Endy wants to build a programming language for the body. Endy is the co-director of the International Open Facility Advancing Biotechnology — BIOFAB, for short — where he’s part of a team that’s developing a language that will use genetic data to actually program biological cells. That may seem like the stuff of science fiction, but the project is already underway, and the team intends to open source the language, so that other scientists can use it and modify it and perfect it.

The marquee feature is said to be the home button, comprised from a rare 26 carat black diamond which, just on its own, is worth an incredible – wait for it – $14.5 million.

Authorities have approved a battery fix for the beleaguered Boeing 787 Dreamliner, paving the way for the resumption of flights. The Federal Aviation Administration on Friday approved Boeing’s plans to fix the plane’s lithium-ion batteries after two erupted in smoke and fire on separate planes.
