An Australian computer scientist and inventor may be the mysterious founder of Bitcoin. Craig Steven Wright—a 45-year-old Australian computer scientist and inventor who was outed against his will and with dubious evidence as Mr Nakamoto in December last year—now claims he is the real Satoshi. On May 2nd he published a blog post offering what he says is cryptographic proof that he is indeed the creator of bitcoin. But proving it is somewhat tricky.

The recent Budget announcement included info on ending NBN Co funding. The Federal Government has revealed that it has put together a special taskforce to determine how to fund its modified rollout of the National Broadband Network, with the project’s costs ballooning and the public purse running dry of funds to support it. Straight off the pages of a cyberpunk novel, Sony (and Google and Samsung) have recently patents for smart contact lenses. Potential misuses aside, the technology behind these new 'smart eyes' is actually incredibly cool. The patent describes contact lenses that can 'sense' when you're making a deliberate blink rather than a natural one, and respond by turning the recording on or off.
