Think we've got too many forums? Find it all too confusing? Gibbon has a cool idea for trimming down the number of forums you see when you enter the forums - good if you only hang out in a few, as I imagine most people do!

VR-Zone have some impressive Tbred overclocks posted in their database.

Paul spotted this console in a joystick thing from the good old days of monochrome graphics.

eDust reckons Intel want to get rid of BIOSes and replace them with EFI.. Extensible Firmware Interface. I remember a while ago people complaining that they could never have a truly open-source PC, because the BIOS is closed-source. Maybe this is the solution?

Also from eDust: An article here about the first Windows/Intel mobile phone. It uses Windows Smartphone 2002, running on an Intel PXA262 CPU. I can just imagine installing service packs on these. He also says PCI Express will replace AGP buses.

Dan's departed from tradition and played with some shiny things. Equally surprising, he's also replied to some letters.

Here's an awesome toaster PC from Sennan.

This German page has some benchmarks of Intel's upcoming P4 motherboard chipset Springdale with DDR400. You can work out what they mean from the graphs and it's pretty impressive.. they may be Intel-provided and pre-production though, so here's your grain of salt.

This sounds like a real pain in the neck from Nigel..

NVHardPage has been updated, for tweaking your NVIDIA video card and drivers.

From Iroquois: Barton v Hyper-Threading at linuxhardware. Print a document from your mobile! Mandrake 9.1 RC1 and Red Hat 8.1 Beta 3 available. Fad has some comments on 9.1 RC1: included in this release, and will be in 9.1, support for radeon laptop video cards, like the 7500 ive got, it works great.

Flash timewasters: toilet humour from reax and cable vs dsl from Ding.Chavez.
