A zillion people sent in news that the Half-Life 2 source code has been stolen! More info on shacknews, VE3D, slashdot and SMH.com.au. Most critical is this explanation about the hacking/leak and possibly-related DOS attacks from a Valve spokesperson.
It seems some "Thorton"-cored AMD CPUs (that is, Barton core with Thoroughbred-like 256KB L2 cache instead of the normal 512KB) can have that "missing" L2 cache enabled, thanks Mystificator. Info here on Xbit and here on OC.RU.
