Unless you've had your head under a rock for the last 48 hours, you already know more about the ILOVEYOU virus than you need to, so I'm not going to regurgitate it all here. Update your virus protection, go get some if you don't have any.

Jeff McLuckie sent in a review of a quite funky item, Diamond's Homefree Phoneline 10Mbps networking kit. This runs a network over your home's phoneline system - and voice calls can still ring in and continue while the network is in use! Neato.

Some cool stuff happening in the skies lately. The NASA press release mailing list is actually really interesting sometimes.

Interesting article here on Linux on the Alpha platform.

I remember reading a while ago about how, when DEC was inhaled by Compaq, loads of their harcore chip engineers (who were responsible for the Alpha) went to AMD. This article explains the similarities between DEC's Alpha and AMD's Athlon (and a fair bit of other stuff too, Willamette, Transmeta etc).

Abit seem to be really pushing ahead with this Gentus Linux thing. The new version offers UDMA/66 and ATA-100 support, full support for VIA chipsets, software overclocking tools etc.. hmm!

Tech-Junkie now have videos of themselves shooting old crappy computers. I think they really need to get out more.. or stay in more, or something.

Another review of the Boomslang 2000 here.

Techwatch have some Oz pricing info on a couple of GeForce GTS2 cards.. not on the shelves yet, though.

Interesting article on Overclockin.com, they have part 3 of their Ram Roundup posted. This covers the Kingmax TinyBGA stuff and Corsair, both available in Oz. Some surprises there..

TweakMax demonstrate that P3-600E + PEP66 = 846MHz.

Review of a super-cheapy video card here.

Win an Abit VT6X4 here..

Very interesting read here on how these guys (nicely) hacked the Apache.org server. I saw the link here on MaximumPC.
