Well, it's good to see some action in the hardware scene today. Anand posted an adverti.. [cough] .. *article* on why RAMBUS doesn't really suck as hard as everyone says it does. Strangely, he forgot to mention the latency issue, which is the main reason it's so slow in real-world usage. That and the fact that it's 3 times as expensive as something which runs at much the same speed. And, the more you add to a system, the slower it gets. And, it gets incredibly hot during usage. Anyways.. unsurprisingly enough, the community has bitch-slapped him pretty hard over this. First into the fray is Overclockers.com, with a stinging editorial about Anand's article.
