I saw Eye of the Beholder and boy the more I think about it, the worse it gets, nice cinematography though.
Al Pacino is next going to do a bedroom scene with a computer. Big Al's to star opposite a virtual actress. Let's just hope it's not Jar Jar
Japan has new ways of preventing piracy. It seems that piracy, (as in prepare to be boarded, roger the cabin boy, or a boat full of seamen) is still rampant in these modern times. Something I never really thought about, shiver my timbers!
A new concept game is out on the net. It’s called Reality Run, it’s a bit like the Running Man (the novel, not the movie), where people on the net try to catch the runner and win US$10,000. It sounds like a good idea... i think cabbies will have the advantage in this.
NASA is going to test a new device that cleans up the space debris for the ISS. Space debris is a real problem that the engineers have to factor in, where I work (yes, we throw garbage at them constantly), and I’ve been told that debris the size of a paint fleck can cause huge amounts of damage.
Yet another country cloning a mammal, this time it’s the Japanese and they’ve cloned a pig. This is something that should be examined very carefully, but lets not get into that argument. Funny thing is that they’ve called the piglet, Xena. Not sure what type of statement they’re trying to make.
It seems that Panasonic is about to release a DVD recorder. It seems it will only set you back a measly US$3,999 and a blank disc for US$34.99. But we all know that DVDs are just a phase! ;)
Scientists are racing to build anti-matter atoms and then ‘cage’ the poor things up. What are anti-matter atoms? Why it’s obviously the opposite of matter. Or is it what those crazy kids of the starship Enterprise constantly flee from. Who will join me to free the atoms?!?
To throw his two cents worth, Prince says that Napster is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
