BE6-2 Bios Weirdness (0 Comments) (link)
 Tuesday, 12-September-2000  00:35:03 (GMT +10) - by Agg

Brendan had this to say - I can't confirm it at the moment, check it out if you think it'll cause you problems..

I downloaded the BE6-2 Ver 1.0 BIOS called 'BEHVH' from Abit. Somehow this ended up on my floppy as a file called'BEHRV'. i didn't notice this is haste. So, somehow the new bios'BEHVH' had changed names from what i saw, what i clicked on to download and what i recieived. it's possible the Abit Bios file links are incorrect.

Consequently my flash ended up with an 'RV' BIOS. There are two possibilities: 1. Abit has the files wrongly linked. 2. Or, Abit mixed up the bios identification names because the 'RV' BIOS is in fact an older BE6-2 BIOS. These BIOS's were just released last night. I'm probably one of the first to use them, lucky or not? I e-mailed Abit about the mix up and their BIOS page is down today!! Hmmm?
