Alchemy pointed out that Top100.com.au think OCAU is the #7 Hardware site in Oz. Not sure what it's measuring - presumably traffic. Note we are above Acer and Apple. :) Thanks guys!

PCRoddin' checked out the ATI Radeon 32MB.. new videocard challenger.

iXBT have a ATA-100 RAID Controller Head-to-Head.. interesting stuff as usual from the russians.

FencingSwords reviewed the Elsa GeForce2 MX card..

Bill over at CPUReview.com tried the good old "attack it with a screwdriver" method of removing SlotA Athlon clips, instead of the much less dangerous "twist it with some longnose pliers" method.. and sadly killed his Athlon dead. D'oh.

Tech-Report have cast their eye over the Voodoo5 5500 and made something of a monster review about it..

NextDimensionHardware have a review of the SnapServer 1000, a network storage device. Not too snappy by their benchmarks..

Rob sent word that A wholesaler here in Perth, WA has been refusing warranty on lots of Asus mainboards. The reason been is that on Socket370 boards the fans that come with Intell PIII CPU's have a very tight metal clip that needs alot of effort to put on & off. With Asus Mainboards they all seem to have Circuit board tracks just under the point where the clip attaches to the socket. When removing these clips it is quite easy to break one of these tracks unerneath when pushing down to release the clip. I've just looked at A few other brands and they all don't seem to put tracks under the clips.(Abit, Aopen). Hmm. I've noticed that the standard clip on the Intel retail coolers on the P3-700E's I've seen have been incredibly strong and I was worried of damaging the motherboards in a similar way. I don't know that it's fair to point the finger directly at ASUS in this instance though.. we'll see what happens with this one.

Japanese text but interesting pics, AkibaPC have info from a recent Intel Developer Forum in Japan.

Dan reviewed the GearGrip Pro, a quite neat handle-strap-thing for carrying your PC and fiddly bits around, good for you LAN gamers..

ChicksHardware reviewed a Kyro-based video card from Videologic..

Bit of a strange one. CPU condensates and dies, but is magically reborn after 24 hours in.. an oven?

Jason points out that a Taiwanese company called Lik-Sang have MP3 players (CD-Man thingies) and will ship to Australia etc..
