Elvis_a_presley points out this 3DMark2001 mirror on PlanetMirror. This is probably the fastest mirror in Oz at the moment. Uh, thankyuh very much.

More info on Comdex Canada here on FutureLooks and here on TheTechZone. If you missed it, check out my impressions of Comdex Sydney from a week or so ago.

Yet another rounded cables guide, this time on IANAG. That's the last I'll link of those, I think. If you need info you should be reading our article anyway. :)

Dmband points out that version 3 of WCPUID is out. Click "download" on the left menu on that page to get to it. I just grabbed it, 178kb, but not looked at it yet. WCPUID is of course the best proggy to tell you more than you could possibly need to know about your CPU, cache and AGP.

TE have more amazing computer stories..

Yet another mouse skatez review. Last one of these I think I'll link to, too. Little bits of tape that make your mouse smooover. I find spraying my desk with Mr Sheen does wonders for the smooovness of my Intellimouse Explorer.

WinME vs Win2K in a Gaming O/S Comparison on HardCoreWare.

Probably the first of many, OCAddiction checked out 3DMark2001.

Speaking of which - 2 things which are annoying me today: Firstly, people saying "Oh my god, my computer's only getting 1000 in 3DMark2001 and I used to get 5000 in 3DMark2000!" .. guys, you can't compare compare benchmark results across versions. Of course the numbers are different. The benchmark is different. Secondly, people saying "Oh no, I'm only getting 1000 points, I need to upgrade my video/cpu/memory/brain/girlfriend/life".. uuhhm, until yesterday you were happy with your PC and now that a new benchmark tells you it's slow you feel a panicked urge to upgrade? Can you say "Slave To Marketing"..? :)

Anyway. If you want to discuss 3DMark2001 I recommend checking out the Software Stuff forum which has exploded into life over the last 48 hours. :)
