Wednesday Night (just!) (0 Comments) (link)

I guess the big news for today is this PDF file which claims (and certainly appears) to be a leaked internal-NVIDIA document prepping them for the Kyro invasion. Do they seem worried? Are their points valid? There's a rebuttal of sorts on this page.

TekFront have reviewed a 3-dimensional monitor. Is this a late April Fools joke? Sounds pretty amazing..

..so do these powerskip kangaroo-shoe things. I want a pair! But I expect I'd hurt myself a lot before I got the hang of them. :) Thanks mike.

Anyone who frequents the AMD Hardware forum will already know that AXIA are THE Athlons to get if you're shooting for big speed - and we're talking 1.4-1.5GHz here. FoamingSuds have jumped on the funk train and have an article all about overclocking the AXIA's..

There's a network card roundup on dslwebserver.com - 11 cards tested for performance etc. First roundup of this kind that I've seen.

That site led me to this one, which has RAMdisk utilities for various flavours of Windows. I've been wanting to play with ramdrives again lately, these look like what I'm after.

WildAndyC has an AMD Roadmap posted..

Polygamus sent in a query that I have no idea about, so I'll post it intact here: Thort this was interesting... The photo in this review of the Gigabyte 7vtx kt266 board shows a dip switch block, with a table of settings for fsb, agp/pci clk. Did anyone notice that the agp/pci divider of 2.5/5 seems to have been implemented? The last line on the table shows 170/68/34 .... hmmm Anyone know if this is just a rehash of the 4:3 feature of pro133a boards, with the mem & pci running @ fsb minus pci? The review starts here and David quotes some impressive Sandra memory figures from it - 656 MB/s (ALU) and 797 MB/s (FPU) for 6x150 FSB..
