Nice artwork from subside in the PCDB. Seems to be a bit of a day for case-modding, actually.. GideonTech have a liquor case mod posted, K6Plus is hacking up an old case to make a portable gaming rig and OCOnline have done some work on an Aopen HX45.

Hardware-Test have checked out the Gigabyte GA-7DXR, a SocketA DDR motherboard using the AMD760 northbridge with VIA's 686B southbridge. This is a great board, I'm in the middle of rebuilding my main machine around one and relegating my A7V to a heatsink testbed. We first saw it in our AMD760 Motherboard Roundup, it was used in the recent Kingmax PC2100 DDR review and Chainbolt's met a sorry demise in his CPU Radiator Zen review from a couple of days ago.

Anandtech have an article about AMD's new Hammer Technology.. their 64-bit CPU's.

ProCooling compare Silicone and Vinyl Hosing to see which is best for watercooling.

IANAG have an article about Modifying the HP A1097C Monitor, a 20" fixed resolution monitor that will only work at 1280x1024 @ 72Hz, but it won't work with a normal VGA card until you do a modification to add the HSync and VSync connectors. Once you do the modifications you have a 20" monitor for dirt cheap.

Avant notes that downloads from wireplay.com.au are free for BPA customers (as in, 3GB cap friendly). Here is a nice repository of Linux/BSD ISOz and archives of stuff that is good to have, including games.

Lombers has posted into the forums with info on the Clear Type feature in WindowsXP, which apparently anti-aliases your desktop and makes it look really nice.

Dan has checked out Lian-Li's PC-60 USB, with some extra goodies.

Those of you still stuck in SlotA land might be interested in this SlotA Watercooling project on Digital-Explosion. Ages ago I checked out a slotA adapter for the Senfu watercooling gear. If this whole SlotA thing is a big mystery to you, check out our SlotA Showdown covering the different types of CPU's.
