Big news on the Australian broadband front with a "CONSORTIUM of utility companies is investigating an assault on Telstra's national telecommunications infrastructure monopoly" by launching their own broadband network infrastructure! This could be what we have been waiting for to finally lower Telstra prices and promote some much needed competition.

Tweakers Australia have a lengthy article on Video Card Overclocking & Cooling. "Anyway, for those of us with video cards whether they be PCI or AGP, this article will show you how to get the most speed out of your card and how to cool the GPU and RAM. Here is a table showing the different theoretical bandwidth speeds between AGP and PCI."

Via Hardware have posted an article that discusses the current video card chipsets and compares them to each other to see which is the best choice for you as a consumer. Could be a handy thing if you are thinking about upgrading for all those new games out there :)

"In its antitrust settlement with the Justice Department and nine states, Microsoft promised to publish technology that would allow competing products to interoperate with Windows. But Microsoft has sidestepped the penalty by crafting a technology license that excludes the company's only viable competitor." Cheers theone333.
