arrghh! I hate it when i'm type up the news and lose it all due to IE stupidity...
some major industry news today:
The Federal Government has decided to split the accounting practices of Telstra's Wholesale and Retail arms. I'm happy if this works and increases competition. Here's hoping.
Hynix's board gives Micron, the "thanks, but no thanks" and rejects their aquisition bid thus preventing Micron becoming the biggest and baddest in the town of DRAM
The government tries to curb those sneaky porn diallers (you know exactly what i'm talking about, don't try to deny it!) with ideas such as PINs and Waivers. Good intentioned, but doomed to failure me thinks.
Time to either diasable the mini-browser or upgrade Winamp, as there are reports of a vulnerabilty involving code of the malicious type.
In terrible timing, it seems, due to a DNS glitch, that Telstra ADSL users are unable to access symantec's website to download the latest virus definitions.
Ever wanted to "push tin"? Well you can now watch replays and current "tin"actions of LaX. Very cool!!! But surprising as I always thought showing this, including past information, would be a security risk.
Finally congrats to stuwynn who got 816,095 in Collapse! pffoar!
