Jeez, about a billion virus spam mails flying around over the last coupla days.

ReaX spotted some funny ATI marketing people over on TheInq.

SubZeroTech went to PC Expo 2002 in New York.

Stanza found some really discounted joysticks at Toyworld, info in that thread.

SilentSniper sends word of new BETA radeon drivers.. beta, so don't blame us if Something Horrible happens.

Cadal sent in DirectX 8.1b, which is apparently NOT a beta.

Swap MP3's at work? Maybe not for long, thanks Griff.N.

From Chuckler: This is cool - it's a mirror made out of wood that's effectively grayscale. Imagine how cool _that_ would be on the side of a case eh? I though it was just a polished peice of wood, but it's a camera-and-servos thing.. amazing.

Snopes2.com, an excellent urban-myth debunking site that should be required reading for any internet-goer, reckon that the whole mobile phones making petrol pumps explode thing isn't true.

From Daniel: 19 modders who performed a bios update on their cable modems to uncap their speed have been arrested and had their homes raided by the FBI. They now face fines of US$200000 and 1-5 years jail time.

Great PC in a bottle project in the forums from Coney.

I think we saw this before but it's pretty cool, Yamaha's new burner that labels CD's for you, thanks Simon.

From d0t-bat: There is a program called Xteq X-Setup, which not only lets you configure pretty much everything on your win9x/ME/2000/XP machine, it also has a nifty little feature which allows you to enable network card balancing in windows XP Pro/Home (so say if you have 4NIC's and you enable this, then it would spread the load on each NIC instead of using just the one, that's 400MBPS!! Or 800MBPS FDX!!! Kinda neat huh? :-) ) Free for home use, too.

boky notes this site about the V.92 modem standard which promises quicker modem negotiation, Modem-on-Hold capability and faster upstream speeds.

Interesting map of spammers, thanks Mike.
