Blizzard have shown off Cataclysm at BlizzardCon. Blizzard Entertainment kicked off BlizzCon 2009 by showcasing its third World of Warcraft expansion. Cataclysm - which introduces two new playable races - is expected to bring "sweeping changes" to Azeroth.

Apple are denying denying Google Voice. - In responses to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) inquiries about Google Voice, Apple today denied that it has rejected the application, AT&T said it played no part in Apple's iPhone application review process, and Google asked the agency to redact its answer about Google Voice's App Store status.

Microsoft have lets the public loose at their new X-box controller. Microsoft has allowed the public to get their hands on its new hands-free games controller for the first time. The US firm showed off the "Natal" technology, designed for use with its Xbox 360 console, at the European games convention gamescom in Germany.

A small tweak is allowing free trials of Windows 7. By deleting one small text file from a Windows installation DVD, users can choose to install any of five different editions, according to Woody Leonard, a contributing editor to the Windows Secrets newsletter.

64 bit Google Chrome will soon be running on linux. As open-source proponents will tell you, there are several advantages to running Linux, and the open-source camp is about to have another bragging point, at least if you're a Chrome user. Google Chrome will soon be available in 64-bit form, but only for Linux.

How much does it really cost to build a motherboard? The pressure is on the motherboard makers to deliver affordable P55 solutions. Without affordable motherboards, Lynnfield will fail - so Intel and end users are both expecting a healthy supply of ~$100 motherboards. As I'm about to show you, doing so is quite difficult.
