Right, well, half of the fun of April Fools is that I can never be sure if submitted news is genuine or not. For example, this is surely not serious.. is it? Asked what percentage of all of the nasty material on the internet his filters would block, Senator Conroy dodged the question, responding that his filters were "100 per cent accurate - no overblocking, no underblocking and no impact on speeds".

But here's some things I'm pretty sure ARE April Fools gags, although I might be wrong there too:

phpBB is now ASPbb, sponsored by Microsoft.
Google is going nuclear.
Google threatens to pull out of Australia due to censorship concerns.
Goole Docs can now store physical objects.
Google can now translate into animal languages so you can talk to your pets.
YouTube have a new text mode to save bandwidth.
BMW X1 owners get their own roads underground.
NGOHQ tested GeForce GTX 480 3-way SLI with disastrous results.
Windows 9 will be voice control only.
Perth will host an F1 race complete with hoon events for the public.
People with ADSL2+ will not have access to the national broadband network.
