Rezin spotted this amazing three-axis LED orb. If I had that thing on my desk I'd never get any work done.. the pics seem broken at the moment but there's a cool video here.
PC Perspective have a SandForce SSD roundup. Since the Vertex LE hit the streets a couple of months back, we've been waiting for a larger market push of the excellent SandForce controller. Today we review three new models that have just arrived on the market, comparing offerings from both Corsair and OCZ.
James sent word of BlackBerry OS 6.0, which makes a refreshing change from all the iPhone stories lately. There's a sneak-peek video here. It's still very BlackBerry (which is definitely a good thing), but with BlackBerry 6 we'll be getting a bunch of new features and refinements throughout the operating system. The best news here is that Lazaridis said we'll see it launch in the next calendar quarter, so we won't have to wait too long to get our hands on it.
A handful of hardcore Halo 2 fans have kept playing despite Microsoft turning off the Xbox Live service. Throughout the past week, a small group of dedicated Halo 2 players kept their Xbox's on so that they could enjoy the game for a while longer. (As long as we don't turn off our Xbox's, or lose connection, we can stay online. Our Xbox's have been on for nearly 14 days straight!) Each day the amount of people decreased, at a rapid rate.
StarCraft II will have regional servers. This means, from day one at least, StarCraft II gamers will be locked into playing against gamers from their geographic region. US gamers will play north American opponents, Europeans against Europeans, and Asians against Asians. AusGamers clarified that Australia's servers will be in Asia.

Meanwhile Khalil spotted this street on Google Maps which looks oddly familiar.
The Boy Scouts now have a video game badge. Or belt loop or pin or something. I have no idea, I was too busy playing video games to be in the Scouts.. wait a second..
Speaking of which, a few people sent in today's timewaster: Super Mario Crossover.
