A HEAP of people sent word that WinXP SP1 is now out, after much speculation and delay. However, everyone sent this link, which returns a 404 (file not found) error. So, perhaps Microsoft have taken it down again. I guess WinXP users should just keep an eye on Microsoft's Windows XP page to see what they have to say about it. No mention of a service pack at the moment.

TweakTown are undeterred, though.. they've released today a WinXP SP1 Tips and Tweaks Guide. Since Windows XP Service Pack 1 leaked its way onto the Internet people have been asking me regularly how to update when they are promoted during installation that they are running an illegal copy of Windows. This guide will explain how to get around this obstacle – Let’s face it, these users are already running an illegal copy of Windows - can further harm really be done? I'm sure there's an army of lawyers considering that very question as we speak.

From EvolutionR, who works for a large distributor: This is to silence all those people exited about Intel, the 3GHz P4 is not going to be released for quite a while still probably another few months and there is a good chance that it will require a new motherboard standard. The reason there are prices floating around is because Intel gave Disit's prices of the 3 G when the Intel price drop occured. Some customers just decided to advertise that they have the stock when all the only have is a rough price. Pretty much what I thought had happened. So please, stop telling me about the pricing you're seeing around the traps.. unless you actually buy a 3.06GHz P4 and get it in your hand. :)

I don't know if this is a setup or not, but JimX sent in this suspiciously fun item on Amazon. Check out the reader reviews.. funny stuff.

Paul Keating has slammed 4WD's in cities, thanks Andrew. On a similar note, JimX spotted this interesting article that questions the value of speed-limit enforcement.

Gaz noticed the wooden PC in an earlier news post and says: BAH! Check out my one :) The only thing I have not done is stain it, as I'm not sure of the best color. MY PSU also died so I could not take shots of the DVD, power and HDD leds in action. More pics to come I guess.

Now this is clever.. how to use memory on your video card as swap space under Linux.. thanks Tim.
