New 3D hologram technology brings researchers a step closer to real-time images. Nasser Peyghambarian of the University of Arizona and his cool gang of colleagues reported today that their new holographic tech can project nearly 360 degree images from one location to another; it’s called three-dimensional telepresence, and it aims to take care of the no-rear-view issue 3D projections leave out today.

HardOCP take an in-depth look at AMD’s new Morphological AA technology introduced with the Radeon HD 6870 and Radeon HD 6850. This new feature promises improve image quality, reducing aliasing, comparable to Supersampling AA but with a lesser performance hit. This new antialiasing feature is compatible with all other AMD antialiasing settings and does not require specific game support to function.

Apple is readying a fix for MacBook Air models released in October suffering display issues. MSI and Guru3D have just released the latest public beta of Afterburner 2.1.0, Beta 3. This new beta opens up voltage tweaking for both Radeon HD 6850 and 6870 graphics cards as well as some other bug fixes. Download can be found here.

Google Chrome users can test out the latest 8.0.552.28 version in beta form. This build comes with an array of bug fixes, the latest Flash Player, a handy bundled PDF viewer, better plug-in handling, and more sync services. A download can be found via the Chromium website here.

On a sad note, today the world's oldest person died aged 114. The world's oldest person, a nun named Eugenie Blanchard, has died aged 114 in the French West Indies. She was born on Saint-Barthelemy, a French overseas territory, on February 16, 1896.
