Looks like the RIAA and the MPAA are out for blood... again.

Intel are set to offer some new security features. "In the latest attempt to protect digital information from viruses and hackers, Intel Corp. will integrate advanced security features into its microprocessors and other hardware."

Apparently "Hewlett-Packard researchers have created memory circuits 10 times more dense than today's silicon chips under a process that could be faster and cheaper than current technology".

What's this? Warner Bros. are letting people download their movies?! "Films such as "Harry Potter" can be downloaded for a fee of $3.99 for 24-hour viewing. Older films from the Warner Bros. home video library can be downloaded for $2.99 for the same period." Geeze, That's just screaming for piracy isn't it?

Apple are setting the macs to only boot into OS X from 2003. "Apple® today announced that starting in January 2003, all new Mac® models will only boot into Mac® OS X as the start-up operating system, though they will retain the ability to run most Mac OS 9 applications through Apple’s bundled “Classic” software." Cheers for those Eluial. Yes, you should get out more :)

Debugging tools have now been annouced for 64bit processors. "Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR) today announced the general availability of DevPartner64, a debugging and automated error-detection solution for the Intel® Itanium® processor family."
