You will of course be aware of the flooding that Queensland is suffering at the moment. If you want to donate to help recovery efforts, the QLD Govt has set up an appeal here, and the Salvation Army has one here.
People are posting pictures and telling their stories in this thread and there's a huge amount of info and links in the first post. Stuart from GGFLan has sent word that tomorrow's Brisbane LAN is now free entry with room for 130 gamers and they will be collecting donations for the appeal.
Tim sent in these pictures: Hey Agg, We live in Rocklea at Brisbane and we got two feet of water in our second storey. We went home yesterday and started cleaning up and we got over 4GB of shots for the insurance company, here are two of those photos! PS: its going to be hard going for a while, I was a bit disapointed when I found out RACQ won't be letting everyone claim all damage and that they were dispatching hydrologists, BUT the gaming computer was saved for a rainy day I guess.
