From Ben, about babelfish: Just recommending that the google toolbar for IE has an option in it where you just click pageinfo > translate to english. saves having to cut and paste the link and choose the language. I'd been meaning to install that for a while, seeing as I visit Google several times a day already. Had it for a couple of days now, very handy - even has the ability to restrict the search to the site you're currently on (good for sites that don't have their own search feature.)

The ArsMasters explain what all the BIOS trickery really means.

Blizzard have shown that they won't tolerate cheaters.. by banning 14,000 players of Warcraft III for 2 weeks and resetting their scores. If only there was some way to do this in CounterStrike, a game that to my mind has been ruined by hordes of wall-hacking, headshot-scripting kiddies. Battlefield 1942 is officially available today and promises to be the next big hit in online gaming (the demo, with only a single level available, is apparently the 2nd-most-popular online FPS at the moment.) Rumours already abound of BF1942 cheats available.. let's hope they don't destroy that game also.

Speaking of games, the Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo is now available on AusGamers. Their server is being hammered at the moment, so it might be a bit slow.

Boky spotted info on Amiga OS 4.

We've seen this before, but it's worth a re-visit.. Chucka sent in the defraggle your motherdisk how-to guide. :)

From Chris: Thought I'd mention that OSX has this ability right in the operating system - no printing to "PDF printers" or whatever, just slam the "Save as PDF" button and you've got a PDF! Note that OSX uses PDF internally for everything from icons to graphics, so hence it's a pretty trivial function for it to export a print job as PDF. From what I've seen of OSX it's something I'd like to spend more time playing with.. it's a shame you need to buy a Mac to be able to use it, and Mac are (from the perspective of a PC freak) expensive and proprietary. Hopefully some good news from the OSX for x86 project soon..

Sudhian have an article titled "Overclocking - Kicking the Habit". Hmm, he makes some good points.. (turns off webserver)

Invictus sent word of tough new anti-hacker legislation in victoria. "Malicious computer hacking or the distribution of computer viruses is not child's play," Mr Hulls said.

Here's an amusing THG Parody, in light of their recent 3.6GHz P4 coverage.. thanks Trev.
