Far Cry 2:
Far Cry 2 is based in a nameless African country that is ravaged by warring factions. For these tests, everything was set as high as possible in-game.

Performance differences:
At a high resolution like 1920x1080, the lack of extra performance from a CPU overclock alone is to be expected, as the graphics cards are holding back performance, not the CPU. CrossFireX by itself managed to deliver an average 54% average frame-rate increase across the range of anti-aliasing and DirectX modes, and perhaps more importantly it delivered a slightly higher average 57% jump to the minimum frame rates.
It is interesting to see that overclock on the CPU helps negate the extra driver overhead of multi-GPU setups, and push the cards to churn out as much as possible. In particular the DirectX 9 8xAA minimum frame rate was more than doubled to a borderline-playable 26fps, and at an average of almost 64 frames per second, playback would certainly be acceptable for the majority of gamers.
