Noise and Temperature Results:
Noise measurements were taken with a digital sound meter approximately 3cm away from the video card fan, reducing the ability of other components such as the CPU or PSU fans to interfere with the final results. Software used for stressing was 3D Mark Vantage, looped until the sound level was stable and stopped rising.

Temperature readings were taken at an ambient temperature of approximately 22 degrees Celsius, on a open test bench and with the fan set to auto. Load and idle temperatures were monitored by MSI's Afterburner utility. Software used for stressing was 3D Mark Vantage, looped until the temperate was stable and stopped rising.

Right out of the box the Palit GeForce GTX 570 Sonic Platinum features a core clock of 800 MHz, shader of 1600 MHz, and memory running at 1000 MHz (4000 MHz effective) making it one of the fastest GTX 570's on the market today. And thanks to Palit's engineering prowess the Sonic Platinum utilises a distinctive yet effective cooler design, with an amazingly quiet dB(A) rating when idle.

This being our first experience with a Palit branded video card, we can't help but be impressed with the out of the box performance, as well as the scorching overclocking frequencies we were able to achieve with the Sonic Platinum. With performance rivalling even the mighty GTX 580 in the majority of games, and at a much more affordable price point for consumers, the Sonic Platinum delivers on all critical areas.
