Productivity Benchmark Results
Productivity Benchmarks:
Both Core 2 Duo products retained a strong lead throughout all benchmarks. In productivity benchmarks combining the results of several productivity subtests like Worldbench 5, PCMark 2005 and the Winstone tests, the EX6800 is somewhere between 20 and 40% faster than the 955XE and between 8% and 20% faster than its AMD competitor. But even the 260 MHz lower clocked E6700 is still between 4% and 15% faster than the FX-62. Data compressing with WinRAR, picture editing with Adobe Photoshop and rendering with CINEBENCH and Kribibench all show Conroe between 10% and 50% ahead of both the 955XE and the FX-62. Intel CPUs are historically always at their best when running multimedia applications and we can see this trend here again: the X6800 and E6700 encode video and MP3 files around 25% faster than the FX-62.
